The Broken Binding Publishing have acquired Scott Drakeford’s trilogy, The Age of Ire, in a 3 book deal.
The Broken Binding Publishing have acquired Scott Drakeford’s trilogy, The Age of Ire, in a 3 book deal. Marcus Gipps, Publishing Director at The Broken Binding Publishing, acquired UK and Commonwealth rights for physical and ebook from Anna Carmichael at Abner Stein on behalf of Matt Bialer at SJGA.
The first book, Ire, previously published as Rise of the Mages, will be revised and edited and republished in January 2027.
Drakeford said: “I’ve watched the incredible work that Matt Holland, Marcus Gipps, and the entire Broken Binding team have been doing for years, hoping to someday be a part of what I think is the best publishing company in the world. I’m elated and honored to be joining an immensely talented stable of authors published by The Broken Binding Publishing, starting with a fully revised, definitive edition of the Age of Ire series.”

SCOTT DRAKEFORD is the author of the Age of Ire series. He’s also the co-host of the Hugo-nominated podcast Publishing Rodeo. Scott is a former mechanical engineer and tech person turned full-time trophy husband, father, and writer.
