The Broken Binding Publishing have acquired Jesse Aragon’s horror-tinged epic science fantasy debut in a two book deal. Marcus Gipps, Publishing Director at The Broken Binding Publishing, acquired UK and Commonwealth rights from Imogen Bovill at Abner Stein, on behalf of 2 Seas Agency for DAW Books and John Baker and Julie Gourinchas of Bell Lomax Moreton Agency.

The Demon Star will publish on the 28th July 2026, matching the US publication from DAW.

On a planet oppressed by parasitic gods, a young prince possessed by a god-killing demon, and the unlikely allies—a disgraced exorcist and the boy’s estranged mother—must decide whether to save the world or conquer it. The Demon Star has the otherworldly religious conflict of Dune, the cosmic strangeness of Gideon the Ninth, and the heart-pounding action of Red Rising.
